Fundraising for Tisbury Bowls and Croquet Club
Membership subscriptions are barely sufficient to cover all the maintenance costs of maintaining the green/lawn and clubhouse. Members generously give their time on many projects so that expenditure is kept to a minimum but we still have a shortfall so we have various fundraising initiatives and apply for grants.

Regular ways in which the Club raises funds, in addition to the membership fees, are via our 100 Club, Easyfundraising for internet purchases and being a cardholder of the local Co-op.

100 Club
With the 100 Club, members have a chance to win a cash prize. The 100 Club draw takes place every month and is a useful way to support the Club.. The first prize is £15, the second prize £10 and the third prize is £5. The cost is just £12 for the year - the equivalent of just £1 a month. The lucky winners are notified and details of all the winners are listed in Focus magazine. (Due to the ‘last copy date’ for Focus the results there will usually be a month behind.)

Easyfundraising

This is another way that money is raised for the Club . It costs nothing. Donations are raised for the Club every time someone shops online. Over 4,000 shops and sites will donate to the Club if easyfundraising is used to shop online .
These donations may be small but they really mount up and make a BIG difference to us. It is appreciated if members sign up and support the Club in this way. It is completely FREE and only takes a moment.
Just click on the link below or paste it into your browser to reach our easyfundraising page
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/tisburybc/?utm_campaign=raise-more&utm_content=gs-e1
Once you have signed up, an icon will appear on the top right of your browser. Then, whenever you want to buy online from Amazon, M&S, John Lewis and many more, all you have to do is first click on the icon. This will open easyfundraising from where you can select the vendor of your choice. The rest happens in the background. It really couldn’t be easier and means the Club can enjoy the extra valuable income.
The local Co-op
This year, we have been selected as one of the three worthy causes for support by the Tisbury Co-op. For £1 you will be given a Co-op card which immediately entitles you to savings and special offers but also contributes to the Club without costing you anything.

The Club applies for grants from various other sources such as the Lottery Fund, Sport England and Wiltshire Council for funds to help with the upkeep of the clubhouse and other buildings. The Club organises fundraising throughout the season and any new ideas for fundraising are always welcome.
